Amell - Lounging with Catby *KaanaMoonshadow

And who better to use than my favourite Dragon Age mage Red Amell, who in an alternate reality became Commander of the Grey and kicked the hell out of the darkspawn?

Red Amell is a Fereldan mage. In this country, people are afraid of the powers mages posses and therefore have their church keep a very close eye on their spellcasters, locking them all up in communities called The Circle and having their Templar knights watching them closely for any sign of demonic corruption.

It's not hard to imagine that Red hated both the Chantry and her life in the Circle, and therefore actually rejoiced as the land was invaded by a darkspawn horde, killing everything in their wake. She escaped the templars by joining the ancient order of the Grey Wardens, a band of warriors who are foresworn to fight the darkspawn and slay their draconic leader, the Archdemon - no matter the cost!

To make a long story short - after long months of traveling with a merry band of companions and lots and lots of fighting, it was Red who slew the Archdemon in epic combat and was rewarded by the newly crowned King and Queen of Ferelden with the position of Warden Commander and the castle of Vigil's Keep, where she now resides with the surviving Grey Wardens and does her best to rebuild the order.

Red is a powerful mage whose speciality are elemental spells (blizzards and firestorms for the win

) and spirit healing, so be careful before you cross her or one of her wardens!

Since we all learned in Awakening and Dragon Age 2 that every Fereldan mage with a sense of style love cats, this artwork shows Amell lounging with her cat familiar Scheherazade in her study at Vigil's Keep, enjoying a short moment of peace and showing off for the camera.
