"Don't worry, my dear", purred the woman as she slowly began to climb out of her canvas, "I'm coming!"

This artwork was inspired by a ghost story that I've read as a child. The hero finds himself plagued by unexplicable nightmares all his life, until - as a young man - he discoveres the mystery behind these dreams and meets the long-dead villain whose fate had long been intertwined with his... which leads to the lady coming out of her portrait one night when they meet for the final showdown.

Useless to say that the story gave me some nightmares of my own, and a certain fearful respect for portraits.

I wanted to do something dark again, so - enjoy!
