Artist's Comments

This is my half of an art trade with the charming :iconprincessjaden: . I wanted to do an Atton Rand artwork for ages, so she handed me the perfect opportunity with our trade. :D

My image shows her Exile with her favourite pixel hunk out in the jungles of Dxun, where Atton - in a rare outburst of chivalry - tries to save the lady from the rain with his jacket... although I'm certain he has an ulterior motive as well. :devilish:

Do you find working with water as difficult as I do? Of course it's nothing compared to drawing clothes, which is a nightmare, but water comes as a close second. So when J offered me this rainy scenario, I said to myself that it would be a good time to try my hands at both water *and* drawing clothes again, and I think it turned out alright - but I'm still learning.

This is for you, dear , and I really hope you like it... now I cannot wait for your part of our trade. ;)

I like how the rain remains soft yet realistic. Great clothing, I really like the work on their facial expression too

The Queen of Air and Darkness
begins to shrill and cry
"O young girl, o my slayer,
Tomorrow you shall die!"
O Queen of Air and Darkness
I think 'tis truth you say
and I will die tomorrow
but you will die today.

Cool and I like the concept behind it too (I always liked the idea of the exile being a woman also) good work.

OMG, OMG, OMG! I love this!!! Everything about it! The pose is fantastic, so sweet, but hinting at maybe something a little bit wicked. My Exile looks gorgeous, her hair is the perfect shade, and with the braid! Her clothing is dazzling, and those shiney earrings are a great touch! I'm squee-ing right now with happieness!

The setting is perfect, Dxun all the way, and I adore the rain, falling over everything!

But my favorite, I must confess, is they way they're looking at each other. I absolutely love this. Thank you so much! And now I shall strive to make your story even half of the masterpiece this is. Thank you.:glomp:
