Artist's Comments

This artwork was actually inspired by an art trade with the lovely ~Mamadrae. She wrote me such a wonderful tale about my Diablo rogue character that I couldn't help but to make this art bunny.

The scene takes place after Lord of Destruction. Baal has been defeated, but the heroine suffered a fatal wound, and so Tyrael appears to comfort her while she dies.

I have always been a huuuuuuge Diablo fan, and since Tyrael is one of my all-time favourite NSCs, I always wanted to make an artwork of him... but only now I felt that my skills are good enough to give it a try.

Might I awes to death...it's splendid! I love how it's both sweet and terribly sad. The color scheme and swirls add a great depth.

Wow, excellent pic Kaana! Still can't believe you adore that oneshot so much. I kinda cringe every time I think of it. Was so hard not to go moving Tyrael out of character so Nimue could get her happy ending. :sadangel:

Guess that gives me practice but I still cried and pouted when I wrote it. I'm such a sap...:O_o:

By the way, feel free to let me know if/when you want another. I'll try to make it a point to go faster on it, unlike this one where I'd get to depressed over it to write it. >_<

superb.....and have ya seen the trailers for D3? It looks amazing, although I haven't checked recently to see if they're giving any more idea of an ETA on it.

That is pretty dramatic and very well done! You did a great job with Tyrael here and those wings look great! I played the Hell out of Diablo 1-2 and all the addons and I must say I'm ready for D3 now...even though I have to upgrade my computer to play it. But it seems I have plenty of time for that! Hehe! A most stunning piece and you hit this one right on the head! Excellent work! :D
