Second off, the face. If he wasn't a total badass before, he certainly is with that expression on his face.
Third off, this is going to sound like a nit-pick, but one of the things that gave the Assassins a serious boost in the coolness department was that they cut off their ring fingers specifically to make room for blades. In my book that puts them over the top in terms of sheer crazy.
I'm glad that you like this artwork, and his expression. I have never heard about that missing-ringfinger-thing before, but I think you're right, and it would put everyone on top in terms of sheer crazy.
