Room with a Vue

Journal Entry: Sun May 3, 2009, 10:52 PM

News

:shh: Sorry for the title, I know it's crappy...

Anyways, after returning from another short business trip, I finally found some time to update my journal with new features and favourites. Thanks a lot for all your comments and favs of late :cuddle:, I really appreciate it and I’ll get back to you as fast as I can!

But finally, the day I have been waiting for is coming closer and closer – I’ll get Vue! :w00t: And now that I have the resources to get it going, I need your help again:

Which version do you think will work best for my needs?

I want to use it to create my own landscapes for render backgrounds and the like, and maybe render some buildings etc. as well as a part of the scenery. I have a QuadCore with a good graphics card and RAM, so I hope that my PC can handle the polygons I want to create. ;)

I’d really be grateful for a comment and your help!

Cheers everyone, and have a lovely week!

~Kaana

Featured Artist

:iconarchangelgabriel: is one of the few artists who can make me gaping at his stunning works for hours – his 3D artworks are a delight, no matter whether he portrays well known comic heroes and heroines or creates his own creatures, and today, I’d like to share some of his works with you:

I use Vue 6I myself. I'd say get the best version of Vue you can afford because you never know which little feature is going to come in handy.

:icontasharene:
Vue 7 Complete, no doubt about that. It's insanely expensive, yes, but it gives you all the features, including full support for Poser figure import, full quality hi-res renders and lots of content included, so no need to buy any extra add-ons. I'm currently in the process of gathering savings to get this one, myself. :D
:iconhastati95:
Vue :D O.0 what is that :D

Can't wait to see what kind of kick ass renders you gonna make with that  hehe ^_^

Have a lovely week too ;p

I think there is a free version of 6, a complete one not a trial. But I could be wrong. Try it out if you haven't, just to see if you like it. Then go get the top of the line 7 lol.

It's a great program, very powerful and limitless possibilities. Very resource heavy though, it is a professional grade program.

And great feature, Ive been a fan of Daniel's work for awhile now across a few different sites. He's an amazingly talented artist and a real cool cat as well. Somebody needs to give that guy a DD; I've been suggesting his work like crazy to both the 3d and fanart mods but no dice yet ;)

Check out his gallery and suggest one today: :iconarchangelgabriel:

That he is, one hell of an artist. Why he has not had a DD yet, who knows.

I'd buy as close to the high end (and what your machine will handle) as possible. At the time I purchased my version, I had to be careful with the money, so I did not get the things with Vue I really, truly needed. I regret that greatly. I am planning on updating to version 7 soon and plan to correct that oversight. You can download a fully functional version of Vue 7 Pioneer for free, at least I think it is still available for free. Word to the wise, with Vista, you want to kill all the extra stuff you do not need, like the glass windows and all that. Vue is a huge resource sucker.

Cool about Vue.

I look forward to your new creations using it. :)

Business trip? What do you do?
(yes, I am absolutley aware of ignoring everything you wrote there and what you were asking for - it's just a bad habit of mine: ignoring everything and saying/asking about stuff that is completley unrelated in any way to the stuff I am commenting. Sawry)

lol Kaana I thought you already had Vue :XD: ...never mind; if you read my latest journal entry, you'll know that Vue 7.5 is going to be released pretty soon. If you can wait a bit more (till mid-May or even earlier), get Vue 7.5 xStream or Infinite. Those are the most powerful tools of Vue (I use Vue 7 Infinite btw). Infinite is the standalone version, xStream can be used in Maya, Lightwave, Max, C4D and XSI.
If you have any more questions, just ask :)

Nice to hear from you again  Curious... are you still open for commissions? Or are you taking a break from them? :aww:
