UPDATE

I couldn't believe my eyes when I realised this morning that I have crossed the 50.000 pageview line.

You guys and gals are simply amazing, and all your continued support and comments and favs really mean so much to me and make me want to improve and improve, to make sure that your visit to my gallery stays an interesting trip full of surprises.

And to show my gratitude, I offer another
Kiriban for my watchers and DA friends:
The person who gets closest to my
51.515th pageview and shows me a screenshot of their catch wins a free commission.
I'm sorry that I haven't been very active lately, but I'm suffering from another cold and my head simply feels stuffed with cotton wool.

But I wanted to say 'Thank you' to all of you who commented on my Star Trek journal or left favs and/or comments on one of my artworks - I'll catch up with you as soon as I can!

And if anyone knows some cool Star Trek space ship models for Poser, I'd love to get the link - I feel in the mood to try some Star Trek fanart soon.

Cheers, and take care everyone!

I guess the title gave it away I just watched the new Star Trek movie
and I love it.

It has been a long time since I enjoyed a ST movie, so Im glad that this fandom isnt dead yet. I dont want to spoiler those of you who still wish to see it, so I will just say that I was happy to see that the story was thrilling right from the start, and that even the character development didnt have to step back for more action. I was amazed to see how the new actors managed to resemble their characters from the OS, especially McCoy was a complete delight.
All in all, it was a pleasure to watch, so if you are still pondering whether it is worth it watch it!

But now my question to those of you who watched the movie as well did you like it? And what did you like in particular?
Cheers everyone, and have a wonderful weekend, wherever you are!

~Kaana

Not a serious movie... but it is more like the style of the original ST in more ways thans just the characters

I don't need anything else ♥
That's about the worst Star Trek movie I've ever seen (and I saw Nemesis, bleh!)
Story is a wreck, the camera work is junk, the sets don't have anything to do with Star Trek, and has anyone even looked at this junk heap they call USS ENTERPRISE???
I mean, come on! They used the discus from the movies, and they put a WINDOW on the bridge!
And since when is Engineering such a mess of pipes and tubes?
Many of the effects (Warp Speed, Phaser fire, space battle) would be perfect for the next Star WARS movie, not Star TREK.
Honestly, J.J. Abrams, don't do Star Trek again or I'll send you something lethal!

I especially liked the new bridge of the Enterprise (I never liked the orange doors on the 60's Enterprise). And the fact that the whole bridge was updated to the touchscreen era was also nice.
I can't wait for the new Star Trek series now!
