Hello everyone,
long time, no see!

I hope 2010 has been treating you well so far. My year started with a lot of work, but that aside, all is well and I hope you can say the same!

It has been a while since I updated my journal, so this might get a longer entry to catch up on stuff and hear your thoughts about certain things, so beware!
Update
I know that it still takes me forever to work my way through my comments and your new deviations. I sincerely apologise for that, but I really appreciate all

s,

s and comments that I receive and I promise that Ill catch up on you eventually.

Art-related
Right now, I seem to go through another SciFi artphase... which made me start another KotOR playthrough this weekend.

Its always a pleasure to come back to a beloved game after a while, and I fully intend to get back to my planned
Worlds of KotOR artwork series soon, with Korriban being my next destination.
These art projects aside, I have rediscovered my love for my long neglected Neverwinter Nights fanfic
Under a Violet Moon, which is posted over at ff.net.
[link]Ive always been a very slow writer, but have discovered that things run much more smoothly when I work with a voice recorder to get the ideas out of my head, so I hope that Ill update the story more frequently from now on. I know that many of my watchers write as well, so I'm curious - how does your writing process work?
dA Groups
This is a topic where Im really looking forward to hear your thoughts. I have to admit that I really like the new group concept, and that they have implemented many new features that make groups so much better than the old clubs here on dA.
But of course, all these awesome features do not come without a cost. Im only a member of three groups, but the sheer amount of new group submissions has forced me to turn off the notification for one of them that is very active, and although it truly pains me, I saw no other way to keep up with my message center.
I wondered why that problem never occurred while the groups were still clubs, and I think its simply the fact that submitting artworks has gotten so much easier now that people simply enter *everything* without being as selective about the pieces they enter to a group gallery as they used to be in the past.

What are your experiences here? How many groups do you watch, and how do you keep up with the amount of new deviations?
Cheers, and take care!
~Kaana
I had to unwatch a couple of the groups I'm a part of. It literally brought the deviations in my already-full message center up by 150!
And the unfortunate thing is, while some of the deviations sent to groups are beyond amazing, a lot are just recolours/retraces of stuff. Especially with anime/manga groups.
Luckily enough, we limited the submission rate to one per week per member, to keep the amount of updates in check. It's a shame if one has to leave a group or turn off the notifications, but I for one couldn't handle my message centre in any other way, either.
Really nice of you , thank you
I still relatively new to dA but I am an admin of VuePort since some time now, so im still in the "learning process" of this all
I love the groups system.
