365 Days of Speedpainting
RULES - Make a speed painting every day - It shouldn't take longer than an hour
DAY 5
It has been very frosty and snowy outside for the last few days, so I felt a nice summer scene might just be the thing to go with the weather!
I found a very beautiful reference shot of a poppy field with gorgeous colors and everything, and I have to say this went a lot better than I first feared. While the background and clouds went pretty smoothly, the poppies gave me a bit of a headache at first. I then decided to play it loosely to fit the overall style of the speed paint, and only draw a few of them in larger detail to make the flowers easier to identify, and I have to say this might be a technique that shows a lot of promise for future exercises!

I love the bold simplistic strokes with the strong colours. Very nice!
